Ignorance & Vodka

Overview

Ignorance & Vodka --- 1999

In order to promote the 1999 live record Saturday Night 'Round Ten, a short EPK was produced in the form of a band biography, centred around an interview during their three-night residency at the Richmond warehouse where the album was recorded. Filming took place between 9th and 11th of July 1999, at the warehouse, dubbed Casa del Resaca or, roughly translated, "House of Hangover". Interspersed with interview snippets are live performance clips of "Cathy's Clown", "Berlin Chair", "How Much is Enough", "Junk", "Rumble", "Heavy Heart" and "Round Ten". Sadly, more complete footage from these shows is yet to surface. This EPK was a CD-ROM extra on the "Ignorance and Vodka" bonus disc, included with early copies of the Saturday Night 'Round Ten album. It was also included on VHS in deluxe packs sent to media for promotional purposes. Directed by Reuben Sutherland, produced by FAT Animation, with voice-over by ABC & SBS luminary Annette Shun Wah. The interviewer is Jack Marx, journalist and author of "Sorry: The Wretched Tale of Little Stevie Wright." (Notes by kind permission of YOU AM I Archives)
