Tracks 8 & 9 recorded July 29, 1944 at Town Hall, New York City. Tracks 13 & 14 recorded August 19, 1944 at Town Hall, New York City. Track 17 recorded October 7, 1944 at the Ritz Theatre, New York City. Tracks 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 10 to 12, 15, 16 were originally released on the Fat Cat's Jazz LP [r9630164]. The live performances were taken from the Eddie Condon Jam Session series at Town Hall, issued separately by Jazzology.
