Eban Schletter Presents Michael Avallone's Tales of the Frightened --- 2009
In 1956, pulp fiction write Michael Avallone wrote a series of short stories titled "Tales of the Frightened". Horror film legend Boris Karloff recorded thirteen of the stories (it had to be thirteen), which were released on two LPs by Mercury Records in 1961. The stories themselves were published in a popular paperback edition that was reprinted many times. Now, cult film icon Vernon Wells breathes new life into these classic tales, with haunting new music by Eban Schletter. Dim the lights and play this record--if you dare!
