Sciare di Fuoco --- 1999

In january 1999 the label BMG-Ricordi published my CD "Sciara di Fuoco", with the ensemble "Sonata Islands". The pieces are inspired by southern islands (Sicily and Sardinia), mostly by the island of Stromboli, where a volcano is still active and people call him Iddu that means "him". The title of the cd, "Sciara di Fuoco", has to do with the volcano life, and means "the way of the fire", the way of the lava coming from the mountain to the sea. Anyway my music is written with an emotional rather than a particular ethnic inflexion.
