Voices Inside My Head - An Acoustic Tribute To The Police --- 2010
VOICES INSIDE MY HEAD: a non-conventional tribute For the past decade Rimini based acoustic trio Nashville has brought its personal, intimate and heartfelt tribute to the music tout-court to an increasing number of fans and music lovers both in Italy and around the world. This album you hold in you hands is the ultimate effort of the band trying to pay a righteous tribute to another trio, so different yet so similar for its unprecedented ability to sound unique and distinctive. Playing cover versions of famous hits is always of work of mixing the writer and the performer together into a newborn creature that from now on gains a life of its own. Think of "VOICES INSIDE MY HEAD" as a virtual dialog between 3 english guys who wrote music history and 3 italian guys who really enjoyed their work and try to tell their counterparts: "You really created something very inspiring. These are the many ideas that sprung from my mind while listening to your songs, hope you like it!". So now you have "Wrapped Around Your Finger" with a jazzy twist in it, "So Lonely" becoming a country-folk stomping tune with banjo rolls, "Roxanne" becoming a moving ballad with its beautiful vocals, "King Of Pain" which sounds like it's out of a Sergio Leone spaghetti western soundtrack and even "Message In A Bottle" sounds completely different with its latin-like chorus. Music for music's sake. This album sounds both classic and new, both minimal with its almost total absence of percussions and still very rich with its vocal harmonies that made NASHVILLE on of the most esteemed vocal trio around. Turn the lights off, pour some of your favourite drink, sit back and enjoy THE POLICE music and discover the NASHVILLE within... you might as well like it as the band liked doing it. "Many thank you our fans around the world, you make our world go round" All songs are written by Sting except "Behind My Camel" written by Andy Summers Recorded by Matteo De Angeli in 2009/2010 Mixed by Fulvio "Mago" Mennella in August 2010 Executive producer by www.cprs.it Graphics by Marcello Dolci - Photography by Tommaso Morosetti www.nashvilletrio.it
