The Hills Of Katmandu (The Patrick Cowley Megamix) --- undefined

Early release of the Megamix of the Hills of the unfortenately late mister Patrick Cowley. Probably released by Cowley himself somewhere at the end of 1980 or 1981. Full version on the A-side. On the unlabelled B-side of the acetate a test version with cold end. Same as the beginning on the A-side. Only a handfull were made of this acetate. The acetate is the same as the Hot Classics no. 4 and the black labelled release of Unidisc SPEC1229. In my opinion this acetate was a pre-release of the HC04 and the black labelled Unidisc SPEC1229. This (acetate) version is very powerfull and heavy synthesized like the HC04 and SPEC1229. It is definitely not the green labelled version of Unidisq SPEC1229 or the JDC-remix of 13.40 minutes which are less synthesized and are much tamer.... The release years are also different. The HC4 and the black labelled SPEC1229 are released in 1985, the JDC and green labelled SPEC1229 are much later released in 1988. According to Discopatrick this acetate is a white labelled Sunshine Sound release. The letters J.D.B. is NOT the label but the coded initials of the person who released this acetate. Additional information: There is also another rare version of the acetate of Patricks remix of the Hills with a white label typed "Hills of Katmandu" 33 1/3' on it. This is a slightly different mix than both other legal Cowleys mixes of the Hills. It starts about one and a halve minute later and the ending is about half a minute longer with a alternative typical Cowley endiing with his synts slowly fading out, MAGNIFICENT... This very special ending is only on THIS acetate to be found. I never heard it on any release before! On the B-side of this special acetate an instrumental mix of Debbie Jacobs''s 'Maybe This Time' with a white label typed 'Debbie Jacobs' on it. Probably a special cut from Sunshine Sound commissioned by a (radio) DJ in 1982 of 1983. NO intials stamped here on the label.
