Rozorana Miedza
Overview
Rozorana Miedza --- 1993-12-00
Mixed by: Wojciech Przybylski at Polish Radio "S4" Warsaw except 3,7 by Adrian Sherwood at On U Sound London "This is authentic Polish spirit in music! Original Polish vibe from central Poland: Mazovia. From wild oberek dance, deep feeling Vistula riverside songs to urban polka and to famous jazzman Zbigniew Namyslowski's hits based on original roots played by unique folk band Rawianie known as great entertainers at wedding parties and as "the last such Mohicans" here. For the first time they started an artistic dialogue with two progressive jazzmen: Wlodzimierz Kiniorski and Krzysztof Scierański. Together they touched the symbolic borderline between the two fields of Polish roots and modern Polish music. Thanks to the courage of Janusz Furmański Rawianie's leader and the imagination of others we can listen and dance to the new "Swojaki" music coming from the forgotten past but in the style of the future. Everyone will wake up to the music as did the great roots singer Barbara Furmańska after her years of silence."
