A L'Orgue
Overview
A L'Orgue --- 1965
Tracklisting is different on back of jacket, but is more accurate in the description of the pieces recorded. The record labels contain many errors: Track A1 should be: Organum Triplex (sur Alléluia grégorien "Posui"). Track A2 is Le Moulin de Paris (anonyme, XVe siècle). Both these pieces are arrangements by Joseph Bonnet. Timing for track A3 is missing. Track A5 is Air Populaire, not Airs Populaires as on label. Track B4 contains only the Fugue by Bach. The Prelude was not recorded. The record label for Side B indicates a bogus fifth track: "Sainte Anne" (7'30) which does not exist. Tracks A1 to A4 first issued in March 1942 on RCA Victor 18413 (78 rpm) Tracks A5 to B3 first issued in December 1941 as "Organ Music of 19th and 20th Centuries", RCA Victor record album M-835 (nos.18213-18216) (78 rpm) Track B4 first issued in February 1944 on RCA Victor 11-8528 (78 rpm). All tracks recorded on The John Hays Hammond Museum, Gloucester, Massachusetts (not credited in this reissue)
