Frog Way Back --- 2018-03-21

This is the 5th album from musician’s project Musilogue, “Frog way back” by Frog of fog. Frog of fog is the band formed by up and coming trumpet player Yochi Masago, and featuring George Kano on drums, Arata Inoue on electric guitar, Kazune Tanaka on piano and Yusuke Ishihara on bass. While Masago, Tanaka and Ishihara come from a jazz background, Kano’s original beat and Inoue’s unique guitar effects take Frog of fog’s sound to the next level. Inoue continues to be an active member of Tokyo’s underground music scene. His guitar work has been a key element of Musilogue’s sound since the 1st album “Elephant and a barbar”. Among many other things, Kano was the original drummer in Jazztronik. Tanaka was a student of the legendary Norio Maeda, who can be said to represent Japan as a composer and arranger of jazz piano. Currently working as a support pianist and arranger, Tanaka is a promising young musician of the future. A graduate of Berklee College of Music and Toho Gakuen, Yusuke Ishihara is continuing to explore the new possibilities of contrabass in his current work. Finally, as well as his trumpeting skills, Masago also displays his talent as a composer on this album
