The Land Of Thirst

Overview

The Land Of Thirst --- 1989

'Recorded in bits and pieces between Pope Day 1987 and New Year's Day 1989. Most of it was recorded at Lowdown Studios. Some songs (the ones with too much reverb on the drums) were recorded at Secret Studios. Some of the songs on this LP appeared on a cassette release bearing the same title. That cassette is now out-of-print, having been superseded by this "legitimate" (i.e. - more costly) release. We made 1000 copies of this record, so additional copies will either be scarce or extremely abundant.' Contains lyric sheet, with a giant puzzle of text where the actual lyrics run vertically without punctuation. Label goes by Nuf Sed Lubrication on cover, Nuf Sed Lubrication D-Lux on insert. Between tracks A6 and A7 is a locked groove. The tracks are confusing. A6 seems to be Bone Happy; A7 is untitled, but it's a cover of "Water from the Temple," which was originally by Jay Paget's earlier band, Glorious Din, and appeared on their first LP, Leading Stolen Horses (1985). No printed track durations. © 1989 World Of Pooh / Nuf Sed 'OK, Nuf Sed. See you in the dollar bins.'
