Linger Awhile / Lover Come Back To Me
Overview
Linger Awhile / Lover Come Back To Me --- undefined
Variant differs from [r=7632296] in the order of personnel listings, mentioning the trumpeters before Earl Bostic. Moreover, both labels feature the publishers' names in boxes rather than their logos, and the matrix numbers are listed differently. "Linger Awhile" recorded April 7, 1952. "Lover Come Back To Me" recorded October 4, 1951. Bassist and drummer are incorrect on both center labels, and also other musicians on center label side B. According to [l1183848] # 5039 (Bostic 1949-1951) 'Lover Come Back To Me' and 'The Moon Is Low' were recorded during same session and it looks like they have a very similar line-up, except that, on 'Lover Come Back To Me', there is a pianist, very likely Cliff Smalls, Bostic reguar pianist those days, and no audible vibraphone and guitar.
