Marley's Pig
Overview
Marley's Pig --- 1997
Recorded, mixed and sequenced by Ed Rose in Lawrence, Kansas Tuesday, Jan. 2nd through Friday, Jan. 5th 1996 while it was much cold out. Jason Loftin painted the cover while listening to this recording. Ruth Robertson and Janis and Lyn Lee made generous financial contributions, without which the whole thing would have been impossible. Basement accommodations were provided by the Crawford and Plambeck Inn. Layout was done by the friendly folks at Mercy Record Studios. Ralph's presence was involuntary, as was Ray's. John Evans played the electric guitars that are louder in your left speaker. He also sang and played an acoustic guitar in "Ed," and sang some more in "Grief of Dawn." Marty Robertson played the electric guitars to your right and sang on every damn track. He also played an acoustic guitar on "Copenhagen-dazs." King Crawford harnessed the awesome power of the acoustic thunder, heard dead center. Dan Lee played bass guitar throughout (also in the middle), sang harmonies in "Wedgewood," "Genderbent," "Copenhagen-dazs" and "Baby Ruth," and spent lots of time playing with computers and scanners. Marley Evans made the pig.
