Overview
In Transition --- 1975
Combines Jazz Advance and Love for Sale. "Two of the finest and rarest album by one of the most influential leaders of the new music. The Transition and United Artists albums are brought together with one original tune released here for the first time." Notes below are from the back cover, which incorrectly says Sides 1&2 were recorded in 1955, when they were actually recorded in September of 1956, as indicated on both the original Transition release, and later Blue Note cd releases. Sides one and two recorded in MONO on 10 December 1955 in Boston, MA, and originally released on the Transition Label. Sides three and four recorded in STEREO on 15 April 1959 in New York City. Tracks C1, C3 and Side D originally released as 'Love For Sale' on United Artists.
