SP4

Overview

SP4 --- 2004

The unreleased, rejected fourth album released via the official and unofficial Sneaker Pimps website, back when it was functioning. Most of the songs on this album were reworked for the first ''IAMX'' album by Chris Corner. Upon showing to record labels, it was refused, so the album was shelved. It's initial album name was ''Recall'', but was altered to ''SP4''. Various, incorrect editions circulate that contain live tracks from their last concert at ''Sixteen Tons Club'' mixed in with the album tracks - this is distinguishable by each track's duration. 'Subway' sampled Grace Jones' track: 'Cry Now, Laugh Later'. 'Song Of Imaginary Beings' sampled Propaganda's track: 'Dr. Mabuse'. 'Polaroids' (original version) sampled Gary Numan's track: 'Metal'. 'Tigers' sampled Siouxsie And The Banshees' track: 'Urban Relapse'. 'First And Careless Rapture' sampled The Dance Society's track: 'My Heart'. 'Ma Fille Concrete' sampled Can's track: 'Vitamin C'. 'Sailor' sampled Ultravox's track: 'Mr. X'.
