Overview

The Complete RCA Album Collection --- 2014-11-28

This compilation ℗ & © 2014 Sony Music Entertainment Note: In the first printing of release, there was a problem with the pitch being incorrect on recordings on three CDs. Sony corrected the discs and booklet right away, but did not offer replacement discs. This mistake occurred because Sony used the same mastering for these pieces, released in 1994 by BMG Classics on RCA Victor Gold Seal 09026-61888-2 with incorrect (slower) pitches. BMG Classics re-issued the disc with corrected pitch within seven months of its first release in 1994 ([r29322688], but not in Europe. The works, all composed by Vincent d'Indy, with timings as printed on the inserts for RCA Victor Gold Seal 09026-61888-2, are: Disc 1, tracks 3 to 5: Symphonie sur un chant montagnard français (Symphony on a French Mountain Air) op. 25: Track 3 original 11:12, corrected 10:32 Track 4 original 6:21, corrected 5:57 Track 5 original 7:41, corrected 7:14 Disc 2, tracks 4 to 7: Symphonie № 2 en si bémol majeur (Symphony No. 2 in B-flat major) op. 57: Track 4 original 11:52, corrected 11:09 Track 5 original 11:41, corrected 10:58 Track 6 original 5:22, corrected 5:01 Track 7 original 13:38, corrected 12:52 Disc 5, track 1: Fervaal, op. 40 - Introduction du 1ᵉʳ acte (Prelude): original 5:02, corrected 4:45 Discs 1 to 10 do not have original release dates.
