To celebrate 50 years of [a=Pink Floyd] releasing music that changed the world, [a569308] guitarist [a=Kyle Shutt] has produced a heavy metal cover of their seminal album, [m10362]. Titled Doom Side of the Moon, the resulting band and album features Shutt and a host of celebrated musicians including his bandmates from The Sword, bassist [a=Bryan Richie] and drummer [a=Santiago Vela III], vocalist [a=Alex Marrero] ([a527248]/[m720316]), saxophonist [a=Jason Frey] ([a2006081]/[a3316042]), and keyboardist Joe Cornetti ([a5448635]). Engineered and mixed by [a=Stuart Sikes] ([a116345], [a257896]), the LP will be released on August 4, the date which marks the 50th anniversary of the release of the British band's debut album, [m19546], and features artwork by [a=Christopher Schultz]. Custom packaging includes a die-cut front panel and matte UV coating. Includes digital download.
