"1984 is the 500th anniversary of Galway's incorporation as a city with Mayoral status. These eventful, oft-times turbulent 500 years of history are documented at different points on the streets of the city. The buildings, the very stones, are testament to the city's past. They are monuments to people long gone and to their tenacious will to survive through the centuries. This album is an invitation to you to join in our celebrations and walk the streets of historic Galway in music and song."
