French label founded in 1980 by [a=Jacky Chalard]. During the 1980s and 1990s, Big Beat Records defined the Rockabilly genre with artists like [a=Jezebel Rock], [a=Alligators], [a968200] in France, and of course [a=Vince Taylor], [a=Crazy Cavan], [a=Michel Pagliaro] etc...internationally. The first record on Big Beat was "Routes of Rock" by "Jezebel Rock". During the first year, Chalard recorded several artists who would go on to have successful careers.
