What? Records was a short-lived record label started by [l=Word] Records and [l=A&M Records], intended to focus on creative and unusual rock and roll records with spiritual messages. For releases related to the L.A. Punk music in the late 1970's, please consider [l=What Records?]. Reportedly, Word bought the rights to the name in the early 1980's and changed the placement of the "question mark".
