Profile

Germany Babywelt was in the beginning a electronic music project founded in 1992 by Tommi Kraft and Gerd Wischnewski with the goal to create music for the peak-time in dj-sets. Later members are Ian Kellert, Sebastian Röhr, Muhammed Akbas (Huegelcore), DJ EDT, Muehlenkreis & Ace 0.1. Beside continuous music productions Tommi and Gerd founded Babywelt Recordings and NWO Records to release their new stuff. To present the ideas and the sound to a bigger audience the members created the Party-serial “Hardbeat” and “Sonderzug” in the early 90s, every party with its own limited CD/CDr- and MC compilation-release, which took place in the northern area of NRW/Germany. The biggest events were the TILT-Rave 1994 (Dortmund) and the F.A.S.T.-Rave 1994 (Münster). In connection with the upcoming motor raver movement the parties were meeting points of traveling party lovers and fanatic car lovers. Some of the label cars still exist and are kept in a hall in northern NRW. All releases of the label are creative complex professional handmade artworks in small amounts, both sound and visual is given same high attention by the artists. Since the late 90s the label is located in Berlin.
