Independent US label that was dedicated to bringing European dance music to the USA. The success of the label's compilation release "DMA Dance Vol.1 : Eurodance" served as proof of Interhit's promotion and marketing commitment to this music. Formed in 1994 by [a585395] and [a11617], Interhit's first successes were the US Hi-NRG Top 10 hits "Whenever You're Lonely" and "How Deep Is Your Love" both by [a585395]. Soon "Tonight It's Party Time" by Outta Control hit the Billboard Top 50 Dance Chart and had radio play on over 100 US radio stations. Interhit then launched the DMA Dance compilation series in the fall of 1995. Other artists to join the Interhit roster in 1996 included the Swedish female artist Ondina, The Lovedream, Alexia Phillips and The Dream Project. 1996 also brought the formation of Interhit Thailand Ltd. which released Interhit products in Southeast Asia. Principals of Interhit Records, LLC (incorporated: August 31, 1995) are Jeff Johnson & Chris Cox, while of Interhit Records, Inc. (incorporated: February 1, 1996) is only Jeff Johnson.
