WHTE LBLS

Profile

Short lived dance music imprint of American Recordings, set up in 1992 by [a=Rick Rubin] to introduce contemporary European electronic music to an American audience following a deal with Belgium's [l=Antler-Subway]. Largely focused on UK band [a=Messiah] and material by Digital Orgasm/Lords of Acid (two acts from Belgian production trio [a=MNO]). Closed in 1995 after it failed to meet its objectives in the face of grunge and the mid-90s popularity of industrial-based American electronic music.
