[b]Chalksounds[/b] is an independent recordlabel run out of northern city Umeå. [b]Chalksounds[/b] have existed since 1997 when the first release saw the light of day. A 7" with KVLR that were pressed in 300 copies. From 1997 to 2000 [b]Chalksounds[/b] mainly released vinyl records in limited pressings. In 2000 a deal was signed with Border music for nationwide distribution and since then [b]Chalksounds[/b] have concentrated on releasing fullength albums with the occational vinyl release. The label have from year to year grown slowly but safely by releasing music that we love. Today [b]Chalksounds[/b] is run from new HQ at the famous Scharinska Villan in Umeå Sweden where they also run their own live music club called Klubb Modos.
