Perfectaphone

Profile

Perfectaphone was founded before WWI (est. 1910) by Constantin Furne in Paris (France). In addition to vertical and lateral cut records (pressed by Pathé), Perfectaphone also produced gramophones. In the early 1930’s Perfectaphone got financial problems leading to the liquidation in 1934. Trade marks were applied for between 1919 and 1922. The material used for the records is not shellac, and the labels appear to be a kind of plastic decal, not paper.
