Denmarks prime annual folk festival, located outside Tønder just north of the Danish-German border. Held since 1974. - The [i]Tønder Festival Foundation[/i], see [l=Tønder Festival Fond], owns the festival and runs the record shop and label [l201849] that mainly releases an annual compilation series, [l=Tønder Festival (2)], of tracks by artists performing on the upcoming festival of that year. - The [i]Tønder Festival Association[/i] (Tønder Festival Forening) is in charge of the practical running of the festival.
