The Blue Rose Nuggets series is an exclusive edition that the German label [l55104] regularly produces as a compilation of its releases and which is available only via the Blue Rose mailorder. The samplers also contain unpublished recordings, studio outtakes, live recordings or even videos. The series started in 2002 and was issued in about a 2 month period, up to number 60 in jewel case. The series is divided into “Seasons” with 12 issues each. The spine of the backcovers is specially designed. If a season is arranged in sequence, the logo of the label or a lettering can be seen. From number 61 onwards the issues come in cardboard sleeves. The series was discontinued upon reaching the 100th edition.
