X DOT 25

Established in March 1990 and on-line since October 1993, X DOT 25 Music (known variously as XDot25, XDOT25, x dot 25, xdot25, etc.) has been a San Francisco Bay-area devotee of World Music, including World Ambient, Contemporary World, New Age Electronic and Techno Ambient, as well as Traditional World, and utilizing Persian/Indian classical musicians and experimental instrumentalists. XDot25 also produces concerts for multiculturalists and World/Ambient music enthusiasts. In 1995, X DOT 25 Music signed international distribution contracts with Virgin Records; nationally, XDot25 is made available through City Hall Records (415-457-9080), known for independent ("indie") record distribution since 1973.
