Dawn (11)

Profile

1960s label from Newburgh, New York, a subsidiary of Vassar Records. Most notable for early recordings by Gene Cornish & The Unbeatables (Cornish later of the Young Rascals), the label kept its logo and address but changed its name to Fawn Records after the first handful of releases. This might have been legally necessary because the Dawn imprint had long been property of Seeco. See also related label [l=Fawn (4)] & record company [l=Fawn Records, Inc.].
