Plague Recordings (also known as Plague) was an independent record label ran by the late [a618756], who wrote it was "operating from Belgium and specialising in ambient, industrial and experimental electronic music. Plague released albums from 2tokiislands (France), Audela (Unknown), Ambient Temple Of Imagination (USA), Manifesto (Sweden), Nathan Siter (Finland), Pump (UK), Sid Redlin (USA) and Wicked Messenger (Germany/Australia). Over the years, 2compilations saw the light of day. Artists included Maarten van der Vleuten (Netherlands), Scanner (UK), The Caretaker (UK/Germany), vidnaObmana (Belgium), Machinist & Mendel Kaelen (Netherlands), Moljebka Pvlse (Sweden) and Ondo (Sweden). The label's lift-off release May The Plague Be With You, an anonymous work featuring 3 tracks each 23 minutes long, has ever since intrigued drone faddists worldwide. Offered as free MP3 in 2009-2010, it was legally downloaded > 7.000 times. Several other albums were offered free of charge too. In 2010 the label went into hiatus focussing on transcendental activities. In May 2011 Plague announced to release several new albums (quote) "when the time is there", 2 of which by its inseparable protege Wicked Messenger."
