Capriccio Digital is a formerly German, now Austrian, classical music record label. The label was established in 1982 and part of the German record company Delta Music GmbH. After Delta Music went bankrupt, the artistic director of Capriccio, Johannes Kernmayer, started [l=Phoenix Edition]. The success of Phoenix Edition's releases - which were mostly already ongoing but unfunded projects from Delta Music - enabled him to acquire the back catalog of Capriccio and reestablish the label in Vienna.
