Profile

Created in 1989, Random Records is the #9 biggest company in Argentina - including majors - according to CAPIF, the local Chamber. Random Records has commissioners in Chile and Uruguay, and a strong relationship with distributors all around the region. The label works with its own products and licenses from different companies like Ya Basta! (Gotan Project), Crammed (Bebel Gilberto), Pschent, Lusafrica, Tot ou Tard (Agnes Jaoui). RR also edits Roadrunner's albums (Black Label Society, Cradle of filth, Stone sour, Megadeth, …etc.), under the sub label Random Rocks! www.randomrocks.com.ar The company represents 14 Brazilian record labels, being the first dealer in that style in the continent (excluding Brazil). Random Records has also a distribution area, with specialized titles of Sony/BMG, EMI & Universal Music. The first value of Random Records has always been the artists' development. Victor Ponieman, director of Random Records, is also member of the board of the main local chamber (CAPIF) and president of the Union of Independent labels (UDI).
