CD and cassette manufacturer in Clearwater, Florida, established July 1998. Also, a printing & packaging company. Eva-Tone Inc branded CD's can be identified in the Matrix as: 'MFG. BY EVA-TONE INC, CLEARWATER, FL' - used until approximately mid 2003 (See [b]Note 1:[/b]) 'MFG BY EVATONE INC, CLEARWATER, FL' – used from approximately Aug 2003 (See [b]Note 2:[/b]) 'MFG BY EVA-TONE, CLEARWATER, FL' - used very occasionally pre 2003 [b]Note 1:[/b] Early on, Eva-Tone outsourced glass mastering, so various Mastering SID codes appeared, such as IFPI L891 & IFPI L892 (see [l2672348]), IFPI L531 (see [l1381819]) & IFPI L805 (see [l2064253]). From mid-1998 to mid-2003 Mastering SID Code: IFPI LL41 was used. [b]Note 2:[/b] From mid-2003 Mastering SID Code: IFPI LL42 was used. Therefore, when identified on the release or in the matrix, enter in the LCCN: ‘Manufactured By - [l693287]’ Originally established on 21 March 1979 as Eva-Tone Sound Sheets, Inc., manufacturing flexi discs (soundsheets). For flexidiscs use the [l52271] profile. Changed name to Eva-Tone, Inc. on 07 July 1998. Filed for bankruptcy in November 2008. The origins of this company date back to 1925 when established in Deerfield, Illinois, as manufacturer of rubber stamp and rubber plate equipment. In 1962, Dick Evans developed the sound sheet process and founded [l52271].
