The first record company in Greece that competed against the majors, founded by Martin Th. Gesar on October 27th, 1959. During the 1960s, it released a vast quantity of Greek popular music, more than any other local company. At some time in the late 1980s (1988 or 1989) Martin Th. Gesar sold the label to [a=Ανδρέας Καϊάφας] who changed the label name to [l=Music Box International] (also referred to as [b]MBI[/b]). The Music-Box brand resurfaced in the new millennium with a new logo. The company behind Music-Box is [l=Music-box, Martin Th. Gesar S.A.] ----- Stereo LP/12" Mini-album releases usually have two catalog numbers present. Please add [b]SMB ###(##)[/b] as primary (found on the back cover) and [b]M. BOX ###(##)[/b] (found on the record labels) as secondary catalog number.
