„Smile for a while“ was a party collective in Frankfurt am Main / Germany, established by Daniel Tischer (D.Soul) & David Tzschentke (Mr. Fonk) in January 2011. The parties were focused on Oldschool House & Techno played by international acts & local artists from the greater Frankfurt area. Many of these local guys were found to be producing House Music that was unreleased as Frankfurt's labels were focused on Minimal / Tech House. In order to give friends of the label an opportunity to release their music the "Smile for a while" label was created. In 2015 the label moved to Berlin and Mr. Fonk took over the whole label business. There are still parties under that name in Berlin, mostly featuring acts or remixers of the label. 2016 also saw the birth of the sublabel "All that jelly" focussing on the clubbier, oldschool side of House Music while the main label covers a wider range of genres from slow & jazzy Deep House to 130 bpm Tek tunes.
