Profile

Built in 1969 for Country singer [a=Ben Hall (2)] by recording engineer [a=Claude Hill], this Nashville studio’s first big project was multi-track session for Kenny Rogers & The First Edition. The studio was purchased by [a=Roy Orbison] in 1972 and renamed “US Recorders”, then purchased by Ronnie Milsap in 1978 and completely rebuilt as a 24-track facility. Initially called “The Tracking Station” upon completion in 1979, Milsap soon renamed it GroundStar Audio Laboratories. Milsap sold the studio in 1995; it subsequently became “Warm Front Studio” under the ownership of Raymond Termini of [l=Category 5 Records] in 2007; today the studio is owned by [l=Black River Entertainment] and is officially named "Ronnie's Place" with the consent of Ronnie Milsap himself.
