1960s soul label from Detroit, Michigan. An early subsidiary of Motown Records intended to release mainstream R&B Soul records. The slogan for Miracle Records was [i]"If it's a Hit, It's a Miracle"[/i] had a short life and was ended In 1962 when the label name was changed to [l=Gordy] Records to avoid confusion with the Motown group [a=The Miracles]. The initial "Miracle" slogan was revamped into Gordy's [i]"It's What's In The Grooves That Counts"[/i]
