Spanish independent label founded in 1982 from the staff of the fanzine with similar name. distributed by [l=Pancoca], later by [l=Nuevos Medios S.A.] and [l=La Fabrica Magnetica]. Run as an independent record company by Juan Carlos Damian (1982-1984), later as a independent label but released and distributed by [l=Nuevos Medios S.A.] until 1989. From 1989, a limited company named [l=Cudam, S.L.] until 2001, and since 2001 [l=Discos Lollipop, S.L.], becoming [l=Cudam, S.L.] exclusively the publishing branch after the split in two different companies. SHORT STORY Record label founded in 1982 in Madrid (Spain), having began as fanzine in 1980. Founders were Agustín and Fernando Cabello, Joaquín Cabello's brothers (drummer from [a921837]); brothers Eduardo and Javier Mesonero and Juan Carlos Damían. They were one of the most influential labels in the spanish pop explosion in the eighties known as "La Movida". In 1996 they adquired La Fabrica Magnética label, and in 2001 Marfer (speciallized in sixties music). In recent years, labels as Rara Avis, Spansuls, Dos Rombos and Ventura Music have been adquired too by Discos Lollipop. Nowadays, their catalogue is one of the most important back catalogue not controled by the majors in the Spanish scene. First distributed by Pancoca, between 1984 and 1988 they were distributed by Nuevos Medios. Between 1988 and 1991, by La Fábrica Magnética. From 1992 they are distributed by Coda Music, later Junk Records, Locomotive Music and now by Avispa Music.
