Vertigo/Capitol is the domestic division of Universal Music GmbH. One part of Universal Music Domestic Division (together with [l=Polydor/Island], previously known as [l=Universal Music Domestic Pop]) and mainly responsible for Rock, R&B and Hip-Hop artists and bands which have their origins in Germany and/or use the German language, but sometimes also for artists from different countries. Formerly [l=Vertigo Berlin], it also adsorbed [l=Universal Music Domestic Rock/Urban] and was renamed Vertigo/Capitol in 2013.
