U.S. country music record label from Brentwood, Tennessee founded in the early 1980s by [a=Tony Migliore]. Migliore worked closely with [a=Cyril Rawson] and the label featured many Canadian artists. Taking advantage of Cancon regulations ensuring Canadian airplay, many Cardinal releases bore the MAPL symbol and were marketed in Canada as well as the U.S. Some releases were licensed and distributed in Canada by [l=Quality Special Products]. Predominantly a singles label, in 1991 the label stopped releasing 7" vinyl and started releasing CD compilations of their new singles then went defunct by 1993.
