Founded in 1981 by naturalist and nature sound recorder [a=Dan Gibson], the releases on this label span several music genres, including classical, world, nature-only and original relaxation compositions. Solitudes was acquired by [l=Somerset Entertainment]. who in turn were acquired by [l=Mood Entertainment] in 2009. In 2013 Solitudes was sold to [l=Allegro Corporation] which revived the Somerset name. In December 2015, it was sold to Digital Funding LLC.
