Swedish label, based in Stockholm, which was founded in 1996 by [a=Marie Ledin]. The label was named in honor of her father [a=Stig Anderson], manager of [a=ABBA] and founder of the label [l=Polar] and later founded the Polar Music Prize. Initially the sales and distribution deal was handled by [url=http://www.discogs.com/label/82391-Warner-Music-Sweden-AB]Warner Music Sweden[/url], but in 2004 the label made a deal with [url=http://www.discogs.com/label/75083-Universal-Music-AB]Universal Music Sweden[/url], which resulted in that Universal will handle the label's sales, promotion and distribution.
