Originally issued as [l=Invicta Record], the label change to Guardsman Record took place in 1914 (at the beginning of WWI; whether it was changed for patriotic reasons is unknown). After 1920, the label name became just Guardsman and it was pressed by Vocalion and the masters were the same as those issued under the [l=Aco] label. [b]Please use this label for records issued from c. 1920 on, and carrying the logo that is represented in label image.[/b] For records that were issued from 1914 to c. 1920, please use [l=Guardsman Record].
