Tact Electric ( Takt Denki ) was a Japanese electrical manufacturer. It specialized mainly in the manufacture of record players and portable phonographs. The company also began producing records, specializing in the jazz genre, and outsourced manufacturing and sales to major record companies. The company also produced some pop records directed by jazz musicians. However, in the late 1960s, they gave all master recordings to Nippon Columbia and quit producing their own sound sources.
