Damon Productions Ltd.

Canadian record company based in Edmonton, Alberta. Founded in 1966 by [a=Garry McDonall], [a=Wallis Petruk], and [a=Don Paches] who were all members of [a=The Nomads (23)] ("Damon" is "Nomad" spelled in reverse). In 1968 they opened [l=Damon Sound Studios] with Len Petruk (Wallis' brother) and local singer [a=R. Harlan Smith]. The company also owned two labels ([l=Damon Records (4)] for country and [l=Mustard (4)] (English)/[l=Moutarde] (French) for rock/pop - a third label North Country was planned in 1972 but never materialised), two publishers ([l=Pet-Mac Publishing] and [l=3PM Music]) and a jukebox and 45s distributor (Northland Music Distributors Co. Ltd.). Garry McDonall served as the President of Damon Productions from its inception in 1966 until his death on October 5, 2010. After his death, Damon Productions and all of its subsidiaries ceased operations.
