[b]1966[/b] The label was created while [a=Johnny Rivers] still was contracted to Imperial Records. Originally pressed and distributed by [l=Liberty Records, Inc.] [b]1969[/b] The company credit commonly changed to [l=Liberty/UA, Inc.] [b]1970[/b] After Rivers sold the label (but retained the label's name and logo), the [a=The Fifth Dimension] switched with their catalog to [l=Bell Records] [b]1976[/b] Rivers' hit "Swayin to the Music (Slow Dancin')" on [l=Big Tree Records] bore the Soul City logo on the label. [b]1998[/b] The label was reactivated by Rivers himself to reissue his back catalog and release new material. Please do not confuse with the UK label [l97948]
