Slammin' Vinyl

Profile

Slammin' Vinyl was created in 1992 by Grant Smith and Paul Rooney to release their own music. Now Slammin' Vinyl is not only a record label but also a record shop and a rave event organisation. They also release tape packs from their events as well as compilation albums featuring Hardcore, Old Skool and Drum & Bass. The label was also known as Radioactive Recordings which explains the RAR catalogue numbers and the radiation symbol logo. The majority of Slammin Vinyl's 12" releases contain a telephone number on the label artwork, which is a good indicator to spot, whether the release is an original pressing or a repress. Because the telephone codes for the London area have been changed twice since the early 1990s. Area codes on the releases: 0850 ...: --> released before April 1995 0181 ...: --> released before April 2000 020 ....: --> released after April 2000
