Canadian record company incorporated in 1988 by Ben Hoffman to split label [l=Fringe Product] from [l=Record Peddler]. That same year Fringe and Record Peddler were charged with criminal obscenity by the RCMP stemming from [a=Dayglo Abortions] releases; in 1990 the charges were cleared after a lengthy trial.
