German label, founded 1986 by [a=Phillip Boa] and [a=Pia Lund]. [b]Label Code: LC 8587 / LC 08587[/b] Besides records of their own band [a=Phillip Boa & The Voodooclub] they released many records of different other bands like [a=The Membranes], [a=The Palookas], [a=Television Personalities], [a=Christian Hound], [a=Inca Babies], [a=Jowe Head], [a=The Legend!], [a=The Creepers] ... Good contacts were developed to different UK-labels like [l=Dreamworld], [l=Hollow Planet], [l=In Tape], [l=Red Flame]. In close cooperation [a=Dirk Rudolph] became the important designer of [a=Phillip Boa & The Voodooclub] records and the band-logo "Teufelsharfe". In 1991, Constrictor was transferred from Phillip Boa to [a=Matthias Gülicher]. The label was renamed as [l=Historia] and published German bands like [a=Brosch] and [a=Speed Niggs]. Historia existed only for 8 months ... Around 2009 the label Constrictor was rebooted for new digital and physical releases by [a=Phillip Boa & The Voodooclub]. Constrictor acts also as a publisher with its subsidiaries [b][l=Constrictor Musikverlag][/b] (sometimes noted as Constrictor Publishing) and [b][l=Film Noir][/b].
