Audiophile label (often stylised as ViTaL) launched by [a=David Manley] in ca. 1989 as a showcase for his [l222480] high-end equipment manufacturing company. In 1992 Vital Records rebranded itself as VTL ("VTL The Vital Sound"), operating separate from its parent company by 1993. However, in 1994 Manley sold the label (masters, equipment) to Italian [a1092620] (who runs the audiophile [l178324] label). Related to [l=Vital Music (2)].
