Fimic ([b]Fi[/b]nnish [b]M[/b]usic [b]I[/b]nformation [b]C[/b]enter) was a Finnish organization dedicated to promote Finnish music. It was called [i]Suomalaisen musiikin tiedotuskeskus[/i] in Finnish and [i]Informationcentralen for finsk musik[/i] in Swedish. It was founded as [i]Finnish Music Council[/i] in 1963, and from 1995, it was part of the Finnish rights society [l=Teosto]. It was also a member of the International Association of Music Information Centres (IAMIC), the International Association of Music Libraries (IAML) and the International Association of Sound Archives (IASA). It was merged with [l=Music Export Finland (Musex)] in 2012 to form [l=Music Finland].
